Our 'In Loving Memory' Service is a time for people to be able to remember loved ones who have passed away. There is an opportunity for them to light a candle in their memory, and to have their names read out. This is a gentle service, a place to remember with love those who have gone before us. Everyone is welcome to come along and celebrate All Souls' Day with us. Our primary Remembrance Sunday service will be held in St. David's Church, Rhos, following a short march. Following the service we will march to the cenotaph for the laying of wreaths, and the silence. This service is designed for those people that find the large service at the Cenotaph to be overwhelming, or find that the amount of movement (walking/standing) is too difficult. This is a said service of remembrance for those who have lost their life in the armed forces over the years, especially remembering this year the First World War. This is a fun, simply, and welcoming service for people of all ages. It is full of modern worship music, fun and (hopefully) laughter. This service is designed for people of all ages, especially welcoming the young and the young-at-heart. The service lasts (around) 30 mins, and is followed by refreshments. Truly everyone is welcome! You will be given a Christingle as you arrive. A Christingle is an orange that is decorated with a candle, four cocktail sticks containing sweets or dried fruit and a red ribbon. The orange represents the world. The ribbon represents God's love wrapped around the world and it is red as a reminder of Jesus' blood, which was shed for everyone. The sweets are representations of God's creations and as there are four sets of them they can represent the four seasons. The candle represents Jesus himself bringing light and hope to our dark world. Our winter fair begins our run-up to Christmas. Here you will find many craft stalls, as well as a huge bunch of favourites, and even possibly a visit from Santa!
